Chad Carroll is an Executive Vice President at The Chad Carroll Group, and Jen Stone is a spokesperson and video reporter for Delray Beach Marketplace and a freelance entertainment host, reporter, and producer.
"We were set up through a mutual family friend at an Ohio State football party," Jen told People about their road to married life. "Chad asked me out through Facebook, saying he had 'work to do' in Boca Raton, where I was living at the time. Without any real work to do up there, he then slept at his grandparents' house for the next three days in a row so we could be together. We pretty much haven't separated since." |

I've been dying to get this blog post done because Ashley and Michael's wedding was beyond amazing. I had the hardest time narrowing down the photos! What a wedding this was at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago. Ashley and her mom, Debbie, hired the talented Marina Birch of Birch Design Studio who executed this wedding so effortlessly! Together with the brilliant team at Kehoe Designs, this wedding was beautifully decorated with an abundance of gorgeous flowers.
Ashley looked stunning in her Katarina gown by Vera Wang and her Italian made Cerise shoes by Aruna Seth embellished with Swarovski crystals. A little bling is always a good thing! The Gentlemen of Leisure rocked the house and everyone danced the night away! We can't thank Jenn Gaudrau and Diego Ivan Martirena of Maplewood Photogrpaphy for shooting this amazing wedding with Bob and working so hard for us... thank you!!! And Marina Birch who introduced us to this beautiful family, thank you! Wishing Ashley and Michael a lifetime of happiness together! We can't wait to see their wedding in featured in Inside Weddings magazine Spring 2015 edition. So excited! xoxo! ~ Dawn |

Ashley and Greg had been dating for 5 years before he popped the question in Miami a few nights before they boarded the Top Chef Cruise for her birthday! So romantic, right? He knew how obsessed she was with the TV show Top Chef so he bought tickets to sail away with them. They were getting ready for dinner in Miami and Greg gave Ashley a card. She could barley finish reading the card before bursting in tears! That's when she looked up and saw Greg on one knee holding the most perfect ring she'd ever seen. To this day, Ashley says she's not even sure if she said "yes, I'll marry you", she was too happy to speak! Of course as she was calling her parents to let them in on the good news, the doorbell rang and she answered it to find her beautiful mom and dad there to her surprise. She feel to her knees and buried her head into her hands "Is this really happening?" she recalls. What a perfectly beautiful night! And I have to say, kudos to Greg, for a perfect proposal and perfect evening. But it doesn't end there, on no... it gets better. After celebrating the night away, Ashley realized she was wearing her new gorgeous diamond ring but not the vintage ring that she wears everyday from her mom. She panicked and searched high and low, it was gone. But her mom told her not to worry, to ask Gramma, and it will show up. And surely she was right, the antique ring showed up in Greg's pocket. A perfect ending to an unforgettable evening!
As sweet as that story is, this amazing couple is even sweeter! I'm so excited to share their wedding on our blog. After Ashley and her mom, planned for a year and a half on all the yummy details, they hired Nicki Eisenstein from BCR Events, to step in the day of their wedding and bring all the magic together. We worked with an incredible team to bring Ashley and Greg's dream wedding to life. Their wedding took place at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Chicago. Burt Rubenstein and his team from HMR Designs pulled it all together using gorgeous roses, hydrangea, and amaryllis flowers, candelabras, you name it, perfection! The little crystal place card frames added a special touch, not to mention how incredible Ken Arlen Orchestra was all day and night! Ashely looked gorgeous in her white Vera Wang | Katarina Gown and Greg in his black Armani tuxedo. The bridesmaids wore beautiful champagne colored long blouson Adrianna Papell dresses. And those flower girls and ring bearers... oh so cute! Ashley and Greg, we wish you a lifetime of happiness together. We look forward to staying in touch watching life unfold for you both! We are honored to have been part of your wedding, thank you for trusting us! I very special thank you to our second shooter, Diego Ivan Martirena of Maplewood Photography who did an amazing job helping Bob document this beautiful wedding. I know I post way to many photos on our blog, I just can't help myself. I love telling the story of our couple's day! Enjoy! xoxo, ~ Dawn |

Their story is super cute... and not love at first sight says Ashley, far from it as Greg was pursuing one of her friends. They met at a local Chicago bar, and she hit it off with his roommate. It wasn't until a few years later when she was studying abroad in Spain, did their relationship started to blossom... and her phone bill. When she returned home to Chicago that summer, it was like they had been dating for years. And can you guess where they spent a lot of their time? If you said the Cubs stadium you'd be absolutely right. Since her dad has been a season ticket holder forever, he pulled some strings and their name is in lights! Love it!
When Bob and I met with Ashley and Greg, and her mom, Terrie, I had my fingers crossed when we left the building they live in. We really loved meeting them all. When we got the call saying they wanted us to photograph their wedding, we couldn't have been happier!!! Every thing about Ashley is amazing. She is truly beautiful inside and out... and Greg adores her, which makes him so adorable! They make the sweetest couple... and just wait until you see their wedding photos! I'm posting them next! xoox! ~ Dawn |

We are proud to share our new book on our blog "WE'RE ENGAGED: Photographing Vibrant and Joyful Portraits of the Happy Couple". It was a fun collaboration by Bob and I and we are proud to share it with you all. We are so thankful to Amherst Media and Harvey Goldstein for asking us to collaborate with them on this book. What an honor! And thank you to all our amazing couples who trust us with these special moments in their lives. We hope that you all enjoy this book as much as we do!
Here's a description of what our book is about: Today's brides and grooms-to-be have grown up inundated by world-class photography on the Internet, television, magazines, and social networking sites. Therefore, it's no surprise that these savvy, image-conscious consumers have high expectations when commissioning their engagement portraits. They want unique, innovative images that make them look great and reflect their personal style as individuals and as a couple. In this book, acclaimed photographers Bob and Dawn Davis show you how to rise to that lofty goal and deliver memorable, personalized images from each session. Covering the process from start to finish, you'll learn how to select locations, work with clients on their styling, get great poses even from camera-shy subjects, and find (or create) amazing lighting indoors and out, all day long. Lighting diagrams paired with each final image selection, along with supporting image variations from the same session, make it easy to learn! You can find it at book store near you or online at at Amherst Media |

Their event designer, Vince Hart from Kehoe Designs, recalls that Tracy and Chris wanted the inspiration from their wedding to come from Tracy's love of fashion, themed around a winter wonderland. Kehoe Designs did and amazing job along with their event planning team at BCR Events. Words cannot express the gratitude we have to the publishers, Walt Shepard and Art Scangas for featuring another one of our gorgeous weddings! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I'm so in love with these images from Rocio and Cyrus's wedding. The Chicago Botanic Garden is such a gorgeous venue, especially for an outdoor wedding with beautiful flowers everywhere, which makes for gorgeous backdrops.
The first thing you need to do for your wedding day is hire the right event planner and that is exactly what Rocio and Cyrus did, they hired Claire Weller from Big City Bride to help her bring her ideas to reality. Claire is simply amazing and Bob loved working with her the day of the wedding. Rocio wanted a colorful wedding filled with the most amazing red, blue, pink and purple flowers throughout the entire day, and that is what she received. Studio AG Design was the Event Designers in charge of the lounge, draping, lighting and flowers... and wow did they bring it all together!!! Rocio's talented father hand painted the flowers for the table cards that were hung on a black manzanita tree with ribbon and crystals. During the reception, guests had an opportunity to write love notes to Rocio and Cyrus and hang them on the tree. Such a great idea! I've been getting to know Kim Zgonena from Kustom Kreations, she has designed some pretty amazing one-of-a-kind invitations, but not just invitations... menus, table cards, programs, custom signage, and more. She's really talented and I love her work. She did a fabulous job incorporating all the colors into the printed materials for this wedding. Rocio wore a Maggie Sottero gown with a dropped waist and soft organza and lace ruffled bottom. I loved her crystal vine necklace, it was embellished with a red heart Swarovski pendant that Cyrus gave to her as a gift on her birthday. It matched the entire theme of their outdoor wedding! And not to mention how dapper Cyrus looked in his Hugo Boss tuxedo. They make a perfect pair! They did something I have not seen at a wedding before, a "wine blending" ceremony where they blended two different wines. They also did a love letter time capsule ceremony that was sealed in a box to be opened on one of their wedding anniversaries. They had Artstrings, a string quartet, perform the ceremony music. I really love that Rocio incorporated some of her heritage into their wedding by having Diego Alonso, a Spanish guitarist duo play during cocktail hour while guests were being served mojitos and sangrias. The reception entertainment was provided by DJ, Roberto Monastero, and did he ever keep the dance floor rockin..... all night long! So fun! I hope you enjoy this gorgeous, colorful wedding. Let's all wish Rocio and Cyrus a lifetime of happy days together! xoxo! ~ Dawn |

When you know, you just know. I can tell that when Rocio and Cyrus met, they just knew that they were meant to be. Look at the way he looks at her! I love it. They met at work, and after a few weeks of subtle flirting, they went on their first date. For her birthday, Cyrus took her to Maui to celebrate. Little did she know, he was preparing for his proposal. He took Rocio out to dinner for her birthday and then wanted to give her a "gift" so he walked her down to the moonlit beach and proposed. She said "yes" and the rest is history! I'm pretty sure this was an amazing, birthday, vacation, proposal...!!!
Bob and I met this gorgeous couple through Claire Weller at Big City Bride and we are so happy for the introduction. Bob photographed their engagement session last year in early November at the Alfred Caldwell Lilly Pool where they sipped wine and walked amongst all the beautiful fall colors. So pretty! And they wanted some sunset evening photos along the Chicago River which are always a favorite of mine. We recently photographed their wedding and talk about colorful... I can't wait to share those images! Enjoy!!! ~ Dawn |

Wow, it's crazy how fast time goes by. We recently photographed Kim and Greg and their adorable daughter, Alexa. Oh, is she cute and with so much personality!!! Bob and I miss so much when our kids were this little. We met Kim and Greg in September of 2008 to discuss photographing their wedding and we hit it off. You can see their engagement session and their wedding right here.
I can't believe 6 years has passed since we first met. Kim and Greg, we wish you all the happiness in the world. It's beautiful to see the love you have for each other has grown so much since you're wedding day! Enjoy! ~ Dawn |
