Some weddings simply feel special from the very beginning, and Dani and Matthew’s wedding at North Shore Congregation of Israel, just outside of Chicago, in Glencoe, Illinois was one of those days.
Dani and Matthew come from the sweetest families. From the very start, it was clear how much everyone loves and supports one another. The entire day felt filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of genuine joy that makes a wedding unforgettable. Bob and Carrie had the honor of photographing their celebration while I had the privilege of experiencing the day through the images as I edited them afterward. As I poured through all the photos, one thing became very clear. Dani and Matthew are surrounded by people who truly adore them. The smiles, hugs, and emotional moments throughout the day told that story beautifully. The ceremony took place at North Shore Congregation of Israel, a stunning venue on Chicago’s North Shore that holds so much meaning for many families. For Dani and Matthew’s celebration, the space was transformed into something completely unique. The reception design created an incredible SoHo-inspired atmosphere, complete with wooden walls that displayed photos of Dani and Matthew from throughout their lives and relationship. It was such a creative and personal touch. Guests could walk through the space and experience their story visually, which made the entire room feel intimate and meaningful. The transformation was absolutely incredible. The combination of warm wood tones, personal photographs, and thoughtful design gave the celebration a sophisticated city vibe while still feeling deeply personal to Dani and Matthew. As I was editing all the photos, I kept thinking about how much love surrounded this couple throughout the day. Weddings like this remind us why we feel so fortunate to do what we do. Being invited into moments like these is something we never take for granted. Dani and Matthew, thank you for allowing us to capture such a beautiful celebration and for sharing your wonderful families with us. Your wedding was truly special. Some weddings are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people. Jackie and Kyle’s wedding at the Bryn Mawr Country Club was both, and it was especially meaningful because of the history Jackie shares with this place. Not to mention that Jackie asked her mom to be her matron of honor. That is the sweetest ever!
Jackie’s grandfather was a longtime member at Bryn Mawr Country Club, and she grew up visiting the club throughout her childhood. From family gatherings to special celebrations, the club holds years of memories for her and her family. So when Jackie and Kyle chose Bryn Mawr as their wedding venue, it wasn’t just a beautiful setting. It was home. That kind of connection makes a wedding day feel even more special. Bryn Mawr Country Club is one of those timeless Chicagoland wedding venues that feels elegant the moment you arrive. The classic architecture, the manicured grounds, and the warm atmosphere make it a wonderful setting for a wedding celebration. For Jackie, walking through the club on her wedding day carried a deeper meaning. She wasn’t just arriving as a bride. She was returning to a place filled with family history and childhood memories, now beginning a new chapter of her life with Kyle. From the photos Bob, and our team, Larry + Carrie, captured, it’s easy to see how much love surrounded Jackie and Kyle throughout the entire day. The excitement during preparations, the emotional moments with family, and the smiles shared between friends made it clear this was a celebration everyone had been looking forward to. One of my favorite things when editing wedding photographs is seeing those genuine reactions unfold. Kyle’s expression when he saw Jackie, the pride and emotion on family members’ faces, and the laughter shared throughout the reception all tell the story of a day filled with joy. What made Jackie and Kyle’s wedding so meaningful wasn’t just the beautiful setting. It was the story behind it. Jackie is not only absolutely beautiful, she is truly one of those people whose kindness shines through the moment you meet her. From the very beginning, she was thoughtful, gracious, and such a joy to work with throughout the entire process. Her warmth reflects the wonderful family she comes from. Jackie’s parents were just as welcoming and kind, and it was clear how much love and support surrounds their family. Being part of a wedding like this reminds us how fortunate we are to work with such genuinely good people, and Jackie, Kyle, and their family made the experience especially meaningful for us. Jackie and Kyle, thank you for allowing us to capture such a special day. It’s always an honor for us to help preserve moments like these for couples and their families. We wish you both a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories together. One of the things many people may not realize about our work is that while Bob and our team are photographing a wedding day, I experience the entire celebration later through the images as I edit them and prepare them to share with our couples and the world.
When I began working on Alyssa and Jason’s wedding photographs from their beautiful November celebration at the Fairmont Chicago, I immediately knew it was a special day. The joy, the incredible energy in the room, and the love surrounding them came through in every photograph Bob captured. Even though I wasn’t there in person, editing the images allows me to experience the wedding in a very real way. What made this wedding especially meaningful for us was our connection with Jason’s family. Back in 2018, Bob photographed Jason’s sister’s, Julie's wedding, so being invited back to document another wedding for their family meant a great deal to us both. When families trust us again to capture another milestone in their lives, it’s something we never take for granted. As I pour through the images, I recognized so many familiar faces from previous weddings. Some were couples whose weddings we photographed years ago. Others were guests who had been part of celebrations we documented in the past. Every once in a while I would pause while editing and smile as I recognized someone. It’s moments like that that remind us how connected the Chicago wedding community truly is. The Fairmont Chicago provided the perfect setting for Alyssa and Jason’s celebration. The ballroom looked absolutely beautiful, and the atmosphere of the evening came through in every photo. From the quiet anticipation as Alyssa prepared for the ceremony to the excitement once the dance floor filled with family and friends, Bob captured the story of the day exactly as it unfolded. The laughter, the emotional hugs, the joyful celebrations, and all the little moments in between that make a wedding day unforgettable. While Bob and our team, Larry and Carrie, are there capturing the moments as they happen, I get the privilege of reliving the entire day while editing the photographs. It’s during that process that I see the details, the expressions, the quiet glances between family members, and the joyful celebrations that might otherwise pass in an instant. Alyssa and Jason’s wedding was filled with so many of those moments. And seeing familiar faces from weddings we photographed years ago reminded me once again how blessed we are to do what we love for a living. Congratulations, Alyssa and Jason. In a couple of weeks, Jenna + Adam will be celebration their 1st wedding anniversary and we didn’t want to forget as October is a busy month for us.
They said “I do” in a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From their beautiful ceremony at Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph Parish to an epic night of dancing at the Four Seasons Chicago, every part of the day reflected the love they share and the amazing people who surround them. Their first dance to Stay With You by John Legend still makes us smile, and we can’t forget how the Gold Coast All Stars kept the dance floor packed all night long. Sparklers lit up the room, but nothing shined brighter than this beautiful couple. Happy 1st Anniversary, Jenna + Adam! Wishing you a lifetime of love, joy, and new adventures. From the first kiss to the last song, Rachel + Cormac’s wedding at the Four Seasons Chicago was unforgettable, and it’s only the beginning. Working with this incredible couple was pure joy, and we can not forget Rachel’s mom, … hi Jody!
Liz Kriegshaber at Liven it Up Events planned every detail to perfection, making the day feel seamless. Yanni Event Design filled the space with beautiful arrangements that brought warmth and elegance to every corner. And the Four Seasons Chicago Hotel was the perfect venue, modern, stylish, and ideal for a city celebration. Once the reception began, Rendezvous Music took over and the celebration shifted into high gear. From the very first song, they had guests on their feet. By the end of the night, the dance floor wasn’t just full, it was overflowing. Laughter and music blended into one unforgettable finale to Rachel and Cormac’s incredible wedding day. Happy 1st anniversary Rachel + Cormac, may the laughter, love, and late-night dance moves never end! One year ago today, Sarah + Evan said "I do" at the Loews Hotel and what a day it was! August 3, 2024, will forever be one of our favorites. Everything was stunning, but nothing compares to the love these two share. You can see it in every glance, every smile. They truly are the perfect pair.
Alicia and Grace from Clementine Custom Events brought Sarah + Evan’s wedding day to life with seamless planning and flawless execution. Tina Sclafani of Magnificent Brides and Magda Rodriguez made sure Sarah looked absolutely stunning, and Burt Rubenstein and his team at HMR Designs transformed the space with gorgeous decor. The ceremony took place on the rooftop of the Loews Hotel, and it was the most perfect day for an outdoor wedding, blue skies, sunshine, the wonderful Rabbi David Young, and love in the air. The Loews provided the perfect backdrop for it all, and the Gold Coast All Stars kept the celebration going strong all night long with incredible energy on the dance floor. And just when you thought the party was over… the afterparty took it to the next level! Brent from Fig Media kept the energy high, spinning tracks well into the wee hours. Realized Events brought the fun with vibrant afterparty decor “GO BLUE”! Not only are Sarah and Evan a beautiful couple, they’re two of the kindest people we’ve had the joy of photographing. Happy anniversary, you two! Here’s to a lifetime of love and laughter. Rachel and Dustin’s engagement session in Lincoln Park was full of love, laughter, and their adorable pup, Ryder, who definitely stole the show. We had the honor of photographing Dustin’s sister, Hannah, when she married Jared in 2022, so it’s extra special to be working with this fun and wonderful family again. Their wedding next year is going to be one to remember!

Some weddings are beautiful. Some are joyful. And then there are weddings like Amber and David’s, where the love between everyone in the room is so genuine you can feel it in every moment.
Amber and David share an incredible relationship. The way they look at each other, laugh together, and support one another is simply adorable. From the moment the day began, it was clear that this celebration was going to be something very special. Their wedding took place at the stunning Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago, one of the city’s most iconic modern venues. With its sweeping architecture and vibrant energy, it created the perfect setting for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Their first dance followed under a canopy of sparkling light, as guests surrounded the dance floor holding sparklers. It felt intimate and magical, a quiet moment where the rest of the world seemed to fade away while Amber and David simply enjoyed being together. Another moment that will stay with us for a long time was the father-daughter dance. The love Amber’s parents have for her is truly beautiful. You could see it in every smile, every tear, and every hug throughout the evening. They are the sweetest family, and it was an honor to witness such a heartfelt connection. One of the most fun and personal touches of the evening involved two very important members of Amber and David’s family, their super cute kitties. During the hora, guests waved photo cutouts of their cats on sticks above the dance floor, and the entire room cheered them on. It was one of those spontaneous, joyful moments that perfectly reflected Amber and David’s playful spirit. As the evening continued, David surprised everyone with something truly unforgettable. He stood up during the reception and sang a song to Amber. The room grew quiet as he began, and you could see how deeply the moment touched her. It was heartfelt, romantic, and absolutely amazing. Throughout the entire celebration, the joy in the room never faded. Amber and David were surrounded by family and friends who adore them, and the energy of the night reflected just how loved they are. Amber and David, thank you for trusting us to capture such an incredible day. Your kindness, your laughter, and the love you share made this wedding unforgettable. We wish you both a lifetime filled with happiness, adventure, and many cozy nights at home with your two very lucky kitties!
