Jenika | This photo is great! I am wondering if you handheld the camera, or was it on a tripod? 1/13 isn't terribly slow, but I don't know if camera shake would be an issue here.
Thanks for the tip in the comments section about using a flashlight to see how the lighting might affect the image. Great idea.
Thank you so much for your videos. (08.26.10 - 9:45PM) Mark LOVETT | Beautiful demonstration Bob! Thanks much. Mark (08.25.10 - 5:15PM) Jaclyn Marie | I love this! Thank you. Sometimes I forget that shooting with lights after dark is an option. This inspires me to have more FUN!!! (03.19.10 - 12:35PM) Nick Drollette | I love these videos! They really make me think about the way I shoot. I don't really use flash alot because I just don't understand it. Please continue to share your knowledge. Thank you!! (03.09.10 - 8:46PM) Bob Davis | I know flash can seem mysterious and challenging, but, if I can do it, so can you :-) The key is to see the light. One trick I did was to rubber band a small flash light to the top of the flash, so I could see how the light would illuminate the subject. This is a great way to practice knowing where to place your lights. Thank you for your encouraging words, they motivate me to share more. Let your light shine, Bob (03.04.10 - 2:15PM) Vicky | So awesome!!! Flash is my least favorite thing to learn about -- mostly because I don't understand it well, but you make it so interesting. I'll definitely be tuning in for more!!!
